Well, I’m back finally and will try to get this blog thing going!! We had a grueling weekend road trip to Cinncinati for my Dad’s wedding. About 50 hours of travelling and 25 hours of being in Cinncinati! Insanity. Of course, on the way home, we promised ourselves to never do a trip like that again. But I’m wondering if we haven’t made a promise like that before?!? Anyway, on the way down, we stopped for just a few hours to sleep at a rest area. On the way home we did stopped for the night, but then drove until almost 3:00 am to get home Monday night. One huge blessing: when we stopped in International Falls, we found out from my niece, Alicia, that our friends, Michael and Connie were in the area for supper – at the home of some other friends, Steve and Priscilla. So we crashed their party and had supper and a wonderful, but short, visit with them. Thank you, Lord, for friends!
We didn’t take Caleb and Logan with us to OH, so we were so happy to be all together as a family again! On Tuesday I didn’t do much. Just hung out with the boys, slept, and made pizza and strawberry pie for supper. I was so proud of myself for not trying to unpack, do the laundry, and get the house in order right away.
So, now we’ve been home for a few days and are getting back into the swing of things. Unfortunately, Logan is now sick. He hardly ate any supper last night and had a fever when he went to bed. Now this morning he threw up once. Of course, he insists on eating, so we’ll see if the last bit stays down. This morning is one of those where nothing goes as planned. Keith wanted us to pray together before he went to work. And I really wanted to go for a walk, and I really, really need a shower. So we got up early and prayed together. (Mmmmm, good!) Then I put on my walking shoes – and Josiah woke up. So I thought I’d feed him quickly and then go walk on the treadmill in the basement. But alas, Logan also woke up and had a tummy ache. So he laid on the couch and I was – and am – afraid to take a shower in case he throws up and needs me. I feel like I’m held hostage in my dirt! :-)

I have total and complete sympathy for people with puking kids. But, this too shall pass...
Maybe now's not the time to use that phrase.
Botswana? Maybe I should do this blogging thing, too!
Hey! Nice to hear from you. Sorry about the puking, though. We are in CA! We just started working here last week. It sure is different! Not in a bad way, though. I'll let you know when I become published!!!
Okay, I guess I should change the Botswana thing. I've gotten enough comments on it now. :-)
You could have let Logan lay on the other bathroom floor right by the toilet while you took a fast shower in the big bathroom. Not the most comfortable place but at least it would have been easy to clean up if he missed the toilet. You could have even given him a pillow since they can go in the washer. Feel free to ask for my helpful suggestions anytime. I won't even charge you... since we're friends and all.
hey, just checking out the latest -for some reason when I try to follow the link to your site from a post you left on my blog, it doesn't work. your blog name doesn't show up - same with Iris'. I'm not sure what you could change, maybe check with Rhonda...
