I don’t know if I’m strange or if other Moms feel this way too… A few days ago I went through Caleb’s clothes and got them sorted out for the winter. Every spring and fall I do this and I always enjoy it. What fits from last year? What bigger stuff do I have in a box for this year? What are we missing that we need to buy? Of course, with the younger ones it’s always fun to dig out the cool stuff that the older one(s) wore before. And it’s wonderful if I discover we have almost everything we need!
An added bit of fun lately has been to call my sister, Rachel and tell her what we need and then she goes to Good-will and finds all kinds of great stuff. We get to do that again this year, since she’s coming home for a visit next month. Yeah! So, Rachel, I have the list ready – and it’s not very long! I’ll call or e-mail it to ya soon…

Well, I sort of enjoy all that clothes swapping, unless it's the youngest one. Putting away little clothes for the last time is a little traumatic for me. :( Last year I put off sorting L's closet for months because i almost cried everytime I went to do it.
Yeah, I think I can understand that. I guess I'm not thinking that Josiah is the last one. Otherwise that would be very sad. Of course, he could, theoretically, be the last boy. :-) Yeah, right.
I'm right there woth you, Rhonda. I've cried buckets over each of the kids and the clothes they used to wear but are too big for now. As for fun sorting for the new season...usually I do enjoy it but not so this year. It's too confusing and unhandy since I have stuff both here and in Red Lake. I just hope I remember to bring all that I need back with me when I come out NEXT WEEKEND TO SEE BOTH OF YOU!!!!! =)
woo hoo!!! I just need to say that the boy's bedroom was an absolute pig-sty. Today we cleaned that place within and inch of it's life! Part of my motivation was that you're coming and staying in their room, Iris. It just makes me feel all happy on the inside to have it cleaned up!
Jenni, I could stay in the basement you know. I'm glad for you though, that you got the job done. By the way, Kendra invited Leona to stay at her house next weekend, so it will be me and my two little ones with you. We should see if Rhonda wants to come for a slumber party one night. =) (not that any of us will have the energy to stay up too late anyway.)
