The Long-Awaited Curtains

Long-awaited by me, I mean! I don't expect that you were on pins and needles waiting for me to get them done! Anyway, there they are, and I need your opinions. The one at the top is two identical swags that are hung with the blue one in the front on the left and the plaid one in front on the right. It doesn't quite look like I had pictured, but I still like it. Does anyone have any idea how to do it differently? And does the blue swag hang down too low in the middle? I could shorten it up a bit.

I love the colours and fabric! And, I think the overlapping looks good, but I would say it's maybe a bit low. You're a very creative curtain designer...mine all look the same. :)

Way to focus on the positive aspects and encourage, while collaboratively suggesting change, rather than talking down to, instructing, or sounding like an authority! I'm impressed with your skills in helping and working with, not for another individual! Yeah for you! (too much training this week)

Hi jenni. wow! Lots to read and hear about your life....I likes it! I'm so happy that you've got the tree thing figured out. (For this year anyway) =) Hope to see your curtains and tree in person one of these weeks before Christmas. =)!

What Iris???? ARe you coming here? What are you talking about?

Yup, I'm still here, Jenni - I just feel like a dim-wit in the midst of such funny people so I'm frequently left speechless. : )

Last night was the big community Christmas hymn sing here at the chapel - there's nothing quite like listening to over 300 Mennonites sing Christmas carols. : ) Because I had to play with two "Messiah" pieces at the end of the program, I didn't enjoy some of it as much as I could've if I hadn't been nervous! It went well though.

You guys are all so inspiring with all the things you do for Christmas! Here in North Dakota we lack people, so not alot of things to do or see! But really do enjoy reading about all the exciting things happening in your world!
Merry Christmas!

I think the overlapping ones look better than one by itself. Maybe it is because I am such a slave to balance and have a harder time seeing outside the "box." I shall see you Friday, bearing chocolate in one form or another, and will give you a more concrete opinion when I see the curtains in person. =)

OK.. now that you need decorating advice...I'll write!!! ha! ha! ha! I actually wrote a couple months ago but noone noticed as I think I wrote a bit late and after everyone had already read your blog!! I love the colors and the fabric also!!! but I think I would just let a bit of the blue show in the background...maybe a bit more subtle (or would that be less subtle?!!)... I love reading your blogs and seeing pictures!! Our Christmas picture will be in the mail soon to you!!
