Oh. My. Word.
I'm sitting at the computer reading a very interesting blog. My two-year-old angel is standing on the chair behind me and of course I'm engrossed in my reading... Suddenly I hear "crunch" and realize Little Mr. has just Chopped! My! Hair! with a big pair of scissors!! This is a rough re-stating of the ensuing converstation.
Me: Josiah!!!!!!!!!! No! No! Oh my word!! You cut my hair!
Josiah: Fowwy (sorry) Mom. Fowwy! (Puts his arms around me and kisses the back of my head to make it better.
Me: Oh my word! Oh my...
Josiah: Goodness!
Me: (trying not to let him see me laughing and pulling a big wad of hair from the back of my head). Oh. My. Word. That's no no, Josiah.
Josiah: Daddy fix it!
So, I haven't even left my chair yet to go survey the damage. I don't know yet if I'm looking at a new hairstyle or creative hair-dos for the next 6 months. I'll give you an update soon.
Edited to add: I checked the damage and it's not too bad. He took out a little chunk about 6 inches long. I think someone could blend it in so it's not really noticeable (any volunteers for the hairdressing job?)

OH MY WORD!! Need I remind you of your duties in 3 months and 9 days?? Sorry, I know this isn't about me... I was highly amused by the conversation!! wow! I have no words.
there isn't much to say except "oh my word!!!!" is there? but thanks for letting me have a good laugh tonight. :D
Okay, THIS is a first! Of course, almost every toddler cuts their OWN, but to include mom in the deal?! Gulp, gasp. Bahahahah! Too funny.
Hilarious...only I'm sure it wasn't so much at the time. :-) I'm glad it wasn't off the top of your head!
HYSTERICAL!!! Make sure to take pictures to show at his wedding! Mommy revenge!
Never heard of cutting Mom's hair, but there is always a first for everything!
It was so good to see you and family in landmark!Wish we could have had more time to visit.I haven't been here for awhile so I got caught up this morning. Thanks for blogging even in your busy schedule! All that food looked good! I am sure you are enjoying it!
Have a great day with Jesus!
Pictures -- we need picters. Too funny!!
WOW! you got a comment out of Sheldon - a feat rarely undertaken with successful outcome. You have my sincere congratulations!
Well, first I'm shocked that somehow this post was here since Thurs. and I'm just now seeing it...you obviously don't realize that I normally check your blog every single day...just in case.
And second, I'm in shock that Josiah had the nerve to do that! That's almost as bad as when Collin cut right into a very intricate piece of cross stitch I was doing as a wedding gift. Well, maybe they aren't comparable. Hair grows back eventually. =)
I agree about wanting to see pictures though.
Rachel, you think this is too close to your wedding? DId you ever hear that Arthur had a gasoline fire blow up in his face less than 2 weeks before my sister's wedding. He was best man. He had no eyebrows, eyelashes and a bunch of hair gone from the forehead. Not to mention the red almost blister type spots spread here and there just for good measure. I'm sure your sister will look just fine. Beautiful. You could all wear hats?
